Comments about the course from students:

“I feel that level 1 core skills, even if you don’;t go on beyond that, are fundamental skills, life skills for all areas of life and careers. As they enable you, when dealing with others, help you to better understand their perspective and feelings which seems essential for any task working with/dealing with humans well. A fundamental human skill that everyone could benefit from.” (Student P)

“It’;s really practical for real life, when I argue in relationships and suddenly I have changed my position to be a good listener. I now use listening skills and suddenly the other person calms down and relaxes. People have told me ‘you totally changed your position to be a good listener, you were calm and were warm when we disagreed’;. The course is practical for real life, for relationships in personal life, with family and friends. For self development, I used to be a passive person, now I can say my needs and feelings and be assertive, having good relationships with others. It’;s helped me to understand other people’;s feelings.” (Student M)

“Overall good for human development, listening and social skills. It’;s taught me how to go a little bit deeper into how I’;m feeling, communicating this. Being able to listen to others so that they can feel heard without judgement. Don’;t be put off if you think the course is going to be academic, it’;s more about how you express your feelings, rather than a right or wrong it’;s how reflective can you be about how you feel. Having an open mind, willing to listen.” (Student L)

“The resources on the course have been very useful to help with communication and understanding others, social connection.” (Student K)
